I bought two Bell ashtrays, this one and one of the Bell Automotive 22-1-22059-8 Lighted Ashtray

Pros of this one:

1. The receptacle is metal

2. The center has a hole to drop your butts in

3. It's larger, less emptying

4. Light only comes on only when the lid is fully extended (saves power)

5. You can turn the ring to change the color

6. LED lights up just the ashtray

Cons:

1. No battery backup

Pros of this one: Bell Automotive 22-1-22059-8 Lighted Ashtray

1. Looks good

2. Has a "backup" (CR2016) battery installed inside the lid

3. Comes with a Velcro pad

Cons of this one:

1. Feels cheep

2. The Blue LED projects light too far (glare) out and not so much on the ashtray

3. The receptacle is plastic

4. The small hole (on the left) is not a "snuffer" it's just that, a hole
