I wanted to buy OEM (Ford) bars, but every one of those that I checked out had too much flex/give in the mounting brackets.

My rating, broken down:
- Step bars: 5 stars! Beautiful and strong!
- Brackets: 5 stars. Well engineered and easy to install. No flex!
- Packaging: 1 star.
Four different sizes of bolts, washers, nuts, packaged into two bags.
Each size should be packaged in its own individual bags.
The driver's side / passenger side bars aren't labelled. The difference is subtle;
the foot pad should be closer to the front.
- Packing: 5 stars. Minimal waste, but everything was well protected.
- Instructions: 2 stars.
The written instructions refer to pictures which are all grouped at the end (different page).
I had to constantly flip back and forth. Each step should have the written instructions
and pictures on the same page.
The instructions should indicate wrench size, especially given the 4 sizes (3 metric and 1 SAE).
It would also be nice to have a diagram showing order. For example, a diagram showing
bolt, body panel, flat washer, lock washer, nut.

The driver side front bracket did not fit on my truck. The manufacturer was extremely helpful
in identifying the problem (that bracket did not cover my model year) and recommending
a modification. They also have promised to send a permanent replacement bracket once
the design has been completed.
