Not sure what the negative reviews are about. I didn't purchase this to "smell" like anything. I wanted it to eliminate (or at least alleviate) unwanted odors/smells. I think the point is that it doesn't smell a lot. I could hardly smell anything even when opened fresh, which was what I expected. I left it in a smelly room for a day and the next day it was noticeably better. I will purchase this again, probably for the car.
