These high density stabilized polyethylene plastic sleeves provide the best possible protection against dust and scratches. These sleeves do not sweat like low density inner sleeves and stands up inside the jacket instead of bunching down on the record. They measure 12 1/8" x 12 1/8" and are 3mil thick.

These sleeves do what they claim, more or less. The heavy plastic is better than the flimsy light plastic that originally came with some of the records, but they still are not as easy to use as the plastic-paper composite that the more expensive records used (e.g., Angel, DGG, Phillips, RCA Living Stereo). My biggest gripe is that they are a little too snug; they should be about a millimeter or two larger in width, to give you just enough room to get your hand in to extract the record. Also, the plastic seems to stick to the record more than the plastic they use to line the composite sleeves. Maybe this is just a function of age, however, and will improve with time as the plasticizer volatilizes.

*****UPDATE 5/14/13******

The sleeves have been resized; they are now slightly larger than before and large enough to be useful without being so large as not to fit in the jacket. It seems that the manufacturer read our reviews and responded.
