After my original leather shifter broke, I drove for a couple days using the old broken knob. The part that broke was inside, the plastic piece that fits into the metal notch. What resulted was a knob that could freely turn and move around while driving, which was pretty annoying.

I was disappointed to find this knob has the same plastic piece inside. But for the price I paid, and for how long the original lasted (14 years), I'm not complaining.

It fits well, feels more solid than the old leather piece (before it broke), and I can see it lasting quite a while. Therefore, 4 stars.
