This product is NOT an aftermarket or third party manufactured item. (At least it doesn't appear to be with the correct "Delphi" markings.) It was easy for me to switch the circuit card and battery over from my old remote. The only issue with the new remote shell was that the battery electrode was loose in the packaging and was bent out of shape. Due to the subtle differences in the orignal plastic mold and the one used to make the replacement, I couldn't use the old battery electrode. I had to bend the new electrode into correct shape, and now it works great. The only negative side about this being an OEM replacement is that I am afraid it will have the same poor durability that my original Delphi remote shell had - resulting in damage over time.
